Aug 31 is the cut off for returned quotas. They will be shutdown in Oct. to change the system.
If it is a hunt dated before the first week of Nov. it will be lost to other hunters if it is not returned by Aug 31.
You get an extra pref. point if you return it :clap and someone else gets a chance to hunt there :clap .

Updating to the new system also means there will be no issuing of guest permits, or the issuing of leftover quota permits and re-issues during the entire month of October for this year. So if you plan on taking a friend on an October hunt, be sure to obtain the guest permit in September.

The FWC always find a way to screw the hunter that for sure. There will some pizzed off hunters when if they cant get quest permits the day before the hunt. I don't know what idiot thought this was a good plan.
If i have to send a permit back i wont know till last minute. I actually have a job that requires me to be responsible. So i can never really depend on if i will make it.
