Well, I have no idea what any of you are talking about since I'm new to this game.
But I have the female and I both registered for muzzleloader and general gun in the two closest WMA's to us.
I know I won't drive any farther than those, so I didn't bother applying for others.
Please let us know what you don't understand so we can help you out. Its important to understand the rules n regs so you don't make an honest and illegal mistake
What I meant was I don't know what you guys are talking about by the "too much has changed, or it was this way beforehand etc"

That is exactly the WMA's I'm speaking of. Let's say they let in 75. If half of them brought a guest you're now looking at 112. I am in the opinion that the system they have in place for those WMA's is fine and the guest should share the bag limit. I think the biggest culprits behind any drop in license sales have to do with Playstation, Nintendo or X-box.
I'm with you to an extent, but 75, and 75 is 150. Halfmoon is a good example they allow 75 hunters, and have never ever killed 75 bucks in a given year. The potential is there for 75 deer to be killed. They have 4 hunts with 75 hunters each, and still never kill close to 75 bucks combined. it just does not happen a lot of hunters go home empty handed. I have been on several quota hunts that allow 2 deer a day since they went to the buddy system, and 1 place that allows the permit holder, and the guest to take a deer. By looking at the harvest numbers for these places there was no surge in the amount of deer taken even though there was potentially twice the amount of hunters in the woods than before. The harvest numbers for the last 3 years have basically stayed the same. Adding more hunters does not automatically mean an increased harvest. It just gives each hunter the ability to take a legal deer if the opportunity presents itself.
I never been on a quota hunt were all the quotas showed up.
