Well, I have no idea what any of you are talking about since I'm new to this game.

But I have the female and I both registered for muzzleloader and general gun in the two closest WMA's to us.

I know I won't drive any farther than those, so I didn't bother applying for others.

Please let us know what you don't understand so we can help you out. Its important to understand the rules n regs so you don't make an honest and illegal mistake

I personally like the system they have gone to with non-transferable permits. I hope they NEVER go back to the old system. I used to go to my favorite WMA's and the same joe's would be there every hunt with multiple permits in hand. I know it was luck of the draw, but this way everyone does get a fair shake when applying. Unless you have a hook up within the FWC who alerts you to permits being returned.....

Ted - "I would like to see tags or increase the numbere of permits. or give guest an equal quota take."
If they increase the numbers it will decrease the quality of the WMA. Same with guests getting equal take.

Just by allowing an increased harvest to accomodated guest is not going to ruin the quality of animals on wmas. Wise old bucks are still going to behave the same way. Elusive! Most hunters do not put the time in to be able to harvest a nice buck on a regular basis, and no wmas ever have 100% hunter success. I would like to see every hunter on a quota hunt have at least a 1 deer bag limit with the biologists having the power to stop the buck harvest if there own mandated quota was met.

I purchased my new license in May and noticed a couple of price hikes from last year. Though the sportman licenses still in clude all the same things and are the same price individual prices have gone up. The trappers has doubled in cost from 26-52. I think that the WMA permit and turkey permit prices also went up.

I agree. I like the system the way it is too. One thing i have asked for every time a survey comes about is a price hike for out of state turkey stamps and out of state gator tags. Moreso the turkey stamps
