:cheers Still sounds like whining to me.
I didn't even bother going to my hunt, they are becoming a joke. More and more are during the week instead of weekends.
Ok, so I added cheese to the whine........
This went e-mail to all the FWC Appointed Commissioners and the following Directors.......snail mail gets stamped and mailed in the morning. I will follow up and be a royal pain to these folks to enforce the closed road rule next year.

Subject: 2013 Green Swamp East Wild Hog/Dog Hunt
I'd like to file an official complaint pertaining to the wild hog/dog hunt in Green Swamp East WMA.
I hunt Green Swamp East WMA during the archery, general gun, small game and spring turkey seasons. Let me state that I am not opposed to the wild hog- dog hunts that are taking place between the small game and spring turkey hunts.
My complaint is about the enforcement of regulations pertaining to Public access and vehicles: #7. No motor vehicle shall be operated on any part of any wildlife management area that has been designated as closed to vehicular traffic.
The FWC is justifiably enforcing this rule, often with fines, during the archery, general gun, small game and spring turkey hunts. But, during the wild hog/dog hunts the FWC allows flagrant use of all closed roads.
I hunted the last weekend of small game and the first week of spring turkey including the 2 day quota hunt. The visual difference and condition of the closed roads was appalling from the extreme usage by vehicles during the hog/dog hunt.
It is a gross miscarriage of justice to restrict the use of vehicles on closed roads during four hunts but knowingly allow vehicles on closed roads during one hunt. Please stop the use of vehicles on closed roads during the wild hog/dog hunts. Enforce the rules as they stand on all hunts.
I still don't understand why you think the folks on the roads has anything to with why didn't see any birds.
Dude, why not fight to open the roads up? Swftmd is the worst thing that has happened to Fl hunters. And I don't know if you've ever hog hunted with dogs, but sometimes the run a long ways. You need roads to run dogs. And you do realize they pay trappers to catch hogs in there all summer and off season? Since you're such a knowledgeable turkey hunter, you should know hogs eat turkey eggs? You should think before you whine.
