Green Swamp Camping- General Gun

Fact: I didn’t get a campsite for General Gun

Problem: I’m planning on hunting every day the first nine days (got quotas during phase 1 & 3)

Solution: Someone willing to share a campsite when not in use.

Here is the whole story:

I’ve been hunting Green Swamp every weekend from Archery to small game for the past three years. During gun season, I schedule my vacations in a way that I can go there and hunt non-stop for at least two weeks and take a break from work and normal routine. I had no problems getting a campsite before because it was first come/first served. Now, with the change to random drawing this year I didn’t get one. I have no problems with that, although I think the system is still broken and the random drawing is not the solution. Anyways, after spending all this time at the GS, I know that most campsites are mostly used during the weekend, some are only used one weekend during the whole season and some are never used.

My request to any forum member willing to help is:

1. If you got a campsite, especially in the Rock Ridge side (where all my stands are set up) and not going to use it from November 12 to the 21st, and don’t mind to share, please let me know if OK for me to use. We can get in touch and arrange to get a copy of the permit.

or,

2. If you got a campsite but did not get drawn for the first 9 days, you are willing to share the campsite and will like to hunt, I have no issues with taking you as a guest. I’ll definitely will like to set up my pop-up camper, but if space is an issue I have no problems camping using my tent cot. I just want to have a place to go at the end of the day relax instead of driving home every day.

or,

3.If you got a campsite and know you’ll only be using during a specific weekend and don’t need it the rest of the season and don’t mind sharing, let me know.

Again, I’ll be hunting Green Swamp every weekend and will figure something out, but anything you all can do to help will be appreciated.
