WELL I WENT OUT TO GREEN SWAMP ROCK RIDGE CAMPGROUND (FRI PM) :united AND A LOT OF CAMP SITES ARE VERY WET! WENT UP TO CHECK IN AND VERY FEW SPOTS LEFT. BUT I DID GET NO. 73
PLEASE STOP BY AND SAY HI!!! LOOK FOR MY BLACK CREW CAB CHEVY 2500HD.
WHEN I LEFT SUNDAY THERE WAS A LOT OF SITES WITH NO ONE IN THEM. BUT THE BOARD SAID THERE TAKEN??? WHO IS PLAYING GAMES? ANY IDEAS? ARE NON-HUNTERS TAKE THEM? TIME TO TALK TO THE FWC AGAIN!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.
Budman, are you going to be there for the entire gun season? I did pull the hunt for 11/23 - 11/27 but I did not get a camping site like I hoped.
NO I DID NOT GET A CAMPING SPOT FOR GUN SEASON. THE FRIDAY THAT THE CAMP GROUND OPENS FOR GUN SEASON I WILL BE UP NORTH. I HAVE A PERMIT FOR THE SAME DAYS AS YOU DO. MAYBE YOU CAN TRY A GET A CAMPING SPOT?
I am going to try. I just need room for a tent and a truck. If I can secure one I am more than happy to share it. I wil only be out there for those 5 days anyway.
What is really crazy is that if you get a long term spot you need some sort of camping equiptment on the spot or you will loose it
Long Term First-come, First-served sites (FCFS):
Permits for these sites will be valid from the day of issuance until the last day of the particular season. All camping equipment must be removed on the last day of the particular season. Once a person obtains a permit for a site, they must “occupy” that site (some type of camping device on the site) otherwise the site remain available for other campers. A FCFS permit holder may return their permit at anytime by depositing it in the drop box. The permit holder will be
relieved of future responsibility for the site and the site will become available for another camper. Permits returned for TLS sites will be made available as a FCFS site
so the way i read this is ,, if nothing is there you can take the site...
