to get back on topic ( stonehenge needs our help) lol . scout --scout and scout. gonna wear out some boots. lol. evidence of hogs is very easily identified. rooting, wallows, mud on trees or black rubbed on the trees. to hog hunt, scouting is the key. look for game trails, and scat. put the time in to learn a WMA and it will pay off.
I've been invited to a "guy's weekend" campout/oyster feast up near Appalachicola next month, a place called Sopchoppy. Some uncles and cousins spend the weekend shuckin' oysters and fishing, small game hunting, BSing and singing around the fire, etc. I'm going to get some more info this weekend at a family reunion over in Pinecrest where one of our "northern" cousins will be. Supposedly some of my family up in north Florida own some land, so hopefully I'll get some invites to hunt up that way next season. I'll be checking out Appalach WMA while I'm there, maybe see if some of the guys can show me around.
try cotton landing or camel pond not to bad for a still or dog hunter
I have been hunting the still hunt only areas. Is it ok to still hunt the dog hunting areas? If so is it better to stick to the still hunt only areas.
