I was planning on doing the same thing I did at Osceola National Forrest. Get there right at day break. Scout around quitely and find a spot. I have my compass to help keep me from getting lost.

Also is the rut happening in that area this time of year? Should i be using Estreus scents?

scouting around quickly.. just get there a day ahead and check out the place.. find your tree.. mark it.. and bright eyes the trail.. Get back there the day of the hunt before light and get to your stand before light. follow our bright eyes and you will have a great day if the deer are moving. Scents. Not a fan of any.. Just a fan of keeping my scent away, and hunting the wind.
