I just read the regulations and brochures and I think I have figured it out but perhaps someone can confirm this for me that has done it before.

I pulled down the second round for Greenswamp GG 11/23 to 11/27. If I want to camp while hunting this period, I have to apply for a camping permit during the 2nd round of camping drawings 9/17 to 10/10.

Now I see that Archery camping drawings are coming up 8/3 - 8/15. I did not get pulled for Greenswamp archery however I see they are offering daily 1st come, 1st served permits. Is it safe to say that if I secure a camping spot for archery I am likely to get one of these daily permits, especially in the middle of the work week?

Another thing, how safe are the campgrounds out there? I will be tent camping. Would my wife and child be ok staying the day there while I was out in the field? Any pointers, suggestions, tips are appreciated. Thanks.

IT LOOKS LIKE THERE CHANGING THINGS UP THIS YEAR. I CAN NOT TRY TO PICK MY BEST CAMPING SPOT THIS YEAR AND NOT TO HAPPY ABOUT IT! BETTER BE ON THE COMPUTER AT 10AM SHARP OR YOU WON'T GET PICK.

Campgrounds are safe, if you get there early and sit in line opening weekend of archery you won't have an issue getting in, but archery is weekends only fri, sat, sun
