I have been eating entirely too healthy these last few weeks. I am ready to fire up the smoker. Whats everyone got on their grilling / smoker menus this weekend? I have my old standby's brisket & bird, looking for something different. I have one last venison shoulder left but thought I would save it until season got it here to kick it off right.
I'll be bachlering it at the hunt camp. These weekends usually ends up being a pile of crap I shouldn't eat, followed by a few mixed drinks, then a drunk munch before I go to bed. last time up it was smoked sausage and Hormel chili. i couldn't get off the pot to go to woods next morning. I need to buy a grande tossed salad and just eat that
I have a couple of really good chili recipes but the temp has to get down to the 40's before I can start thinking about that. Smoking some fresh sausage sounds good though.
I make a killer chili. I usually make it in a huge pot, and freeze in tupperware bowls. That and my Brunswick stew are staples at my camp
Hey luv2hunt you should think about canning your chilli and stew instead of freezing it. You can learn something new and free up some freezer space.
