After shooting the heaviest bird in all of of years in the woods. Not to mention my shot was a tad low, and the breast on the 1 side took a beating. I decided to grind the whole bird. Ended up with just over 10lbs of ground. I took it, and mixed a blend of 50 50 with venison added some special seasoning, onion, parsley, and garlic than browned them in a pan. Than through them in the crock pot with my special tomato sauce, and cooked for a few hours. Plopped them on a fresh hoagie topped with mozz., and parm melted in the oven. It is amazing how the turkey lightens up the meatballs with no fat added. They were just incredible. Sorry I did not take any pics of the process, but if you guys do not try this you are missing the boat.
