know I saw some somewhere. not in the game cooking forum though. anyone remember. any ideas on what to tell the wife shes eating? maybe I'll tell her it's rabbit?
If it's whole, then you really have no choice. But if it's all deboned and stuff, you can just tell her it's pheasant. Taste is very similar. I personally like to debone them keeping the meat in as large a piece possible. Then stuff a crushed garlic clove and a jalapeno inside, wrap it in bacon, and roast it in the oven or on the grill till the meat's at like 150 degrees. Quite tastey. Hmmm...I think I know what I'm havin for dinner. BTW, this recipe works well for dove too, but don't debone it.
Mmmmm.....fried tree rat and taters....mmmmmm....Only prolem I'll have is fightin the dogs off em after I shoot em. They ain't trained huntin dogs, but my Jack Russell is damned good at catchin em. It's the lettin em go part he has issue with.
