an incredibly easy way I use for shoulders is put it in a crock pot (even if frozen) add about 1/2 a btl of bbq, ginger teriyaki or sauce of your choice, put it on low and get lost for 6-8 hours. meat should be fall off the bone tender.

Going to take you a while,,, but dont try to rush it....its more about cooking slow...around 225 - 250.....like L2H says,,,,and when you get close, wrap it up in foil and finish it off..not mandatory but does work fine.....just dont get in a hurry and you'll have something to enjoy....relax, have a beer...and keep your fire right....you'll learn more each time you do it.....good luck.

one last thing....just my opinion....dont use green wood ....make sure its seasoned ....does a much better job

I got nothing but time tomorrow so Ill be with that smoker all day, 24 hours lol

I marinaded with onion powder, garlic powder, little sugar (regular, didn't have brown sugar...), powder paprika, powder pepper, salt, black pepper, and lilttle bit of oregano powder.

Im not sure what Im gonna use to keep them moist while Im cookin tho... I was thinking little bit of vinegar, chopped onions, pepper, and I dont know... lol...
