So, how long do you have to boil them horns before they're soft enough to eat.

Thanks for the replies! It seems like a mixed bag...meaning that there's a good chance of the meat not tasting all that great. The meat is what's important to me as I would use it to cook with, bbq & smoking, etc. That is what is a trophy to me, I like to to cook and eat. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have a few wall mounts some day...but right now, my hobbies are hunting and cooking. I guess I'll be doing some hog hunting. Just thought I'd try something different.

All I have to do is go to the grocery store, buy a rib eys and grill it...No soaking horns at all!

To me, billy goats are way nastier than wild hogs..They drink their own pee for gods sake ! lol
