Interesting technique for sure, nice quick and easy....not big on microwave "cooking", I like to boil mine, husk on, standing on end in a large pot or in the smoker, husk on. I wonder if that technique would work after boiling, smoking or grilling. I will try it next time I get some.

I did 2 ears in the microwave. I did 8 minutes. Didn't seem like enough so I nuked them for 1 more minute. I cut as shown in video but they did not fall out of the husk as shown. However, one slice length wise with a sharp knife and the husk and all silks all came off in one piece. They were perfectly cooked, with no silks left on the corn. I may do this in the future, then hit them on the grill for a couple minutes for some char marks. Me and my boy ate them like a typewriter
