Interesting technique for sure, nice quick and easy....not big on microwave "cooking", I like to boil mine, husk on, standing on end in a large pot or in the smoker, husk on. I wonder if that technique would work after boiling, smoking or grilling. I will try it next time I get some.
I did 2 ears in the microwave. I did 8 minutes. Didn't seem like enough so I nuked them for 1 more minute. I cut as shown in video but they did not fall out of the husk as shown. However, one slice length wise with a sharp knife and the husk and all silks all came off in one piece. They were perfectly cooked, with no silks left on the corn. I may do this in the future, then hit them on the grill for a couple minutes for some char marks. Me and my boy ate them like a typewriter

Ok Allen, I'm thinking that maybe it's time for you to do some cooking videos. All them Green Egg recipes you have are looking mighty good. Who knows, you may be the next Food Network Star! I can see it now...."Cookin' Country Critters with Allen" :cheers
Sounds like a great idea!
