I haven't made any in a long time. I like to boil them in beer with sliced onions. After they boil for a while, I'll take them out and crisp them on the grill. Then I take the beer and onion bath and boil down the beer until it reduces to a caramelized paste like state. I schmear that on the bun and put the brats on top. Top with some stone ground mustard and get ready for your taste buds to slap you for more!
