I'm ready to bump up to a much better vacuum sealer for prepping game for the freezer. The old "Seal-a-Meal" finally died. Now, I see several different models of the Foodsaver out there, but I'm not sure which one is actually the best value for my hard-earned $.
I see prices from $59 up to $179.
I got one and a heck of a deal....till supplies last....just thought i would pass it on ....reg. 139.00....sale for 55.99 plus free shipping...I had to pay tax....59.00 and change....you will get the discount when you add it to your cart....hope it helps save a few $$ for anyone looking for one

I had a foodsaver, but it took a spill off the counter and broke. I liked that thing a lot. You can save buttloads of money if you buy stuff like that on fleabay and similar sites.
A feature to look for is one that you can seal without vacuuming or vac then seal. Sometimes you don't want to smash/compress what you want to seal, but not all of the machines have that capability.

Obviously this link is overpriced, but you can get it a lot cheaper. My wife got mine at Bed bath n beyond on sale. Every outdoorsman should own a food saver. I use mine religiously.
One piece of advice....DO NOT go cheap on the bags. Get the food saver brand bags. You will not save money in the long run, trust me. I can take out a piece of meat 3 years old and it tastes just like it was fresh
