sounds pretty darn good!
they have always been my fav type of call. great sounds, can get very loud and with the right wind can locate a bird from extreme distances or give very soft purrs and are as easy to learn as anything. had a tom sneak up behind me, stretch his head around the tree I was sitting against and gobbled right in my ear, scared the crap oughta me. if I had been using a mouth call I'd have choked to death, been afraid to use one since. I do carry and use an asst of friction calls too, but like box the best.
Lol...and I thought getting shot was about the only danger in turkey hunting
not sure why that guy is using a separete piece of wood, as the top of the box is called the STRIKER and is usualy used for that. the paddle handle is missing, BUT he is getting some good sounds, so "whatever" nothing is written in stone, being flexible and trial and error is generally good. I will say I've lost more birds by giving up a minute or 2 too soon.
