Congrats great story.
That a million times bigger than our bird. My weekend we had a front birds not calling. this weekend her permit i am sick coughing my brains out
The birds moved all day yesterday. Especially during the rain. But it was 99% single hens that are bred and nesting. Today it was like a ghost town. I tried to hunt a bird I had seen about 4 times over two weekends and never heard a peep. I walked about 5 miles, setting up, calling and listening. Didn't even see any tracks
With these hens being bred out now, it'll take a damn good turkey hunter to kill one now. Bout the only way you can kill one now is to get in a travel area and hope one walks by. I do believe the breeding season has come to an end....
You can't eat tail feathers, beards or spurs..... good bird, lay him right next to the mashed taters and green beans....
You guys are killing me. I jonesing to go but it just not my year for turkey hunting.
Any one who harvested a bird did a great job.
