My brother has been trying to get me on my first gobbler this year. We were close on Sunday but the gobbler ditched us and went silent. I was hooked from then on, and don't quite realize why I never got interested in turkey hunting before.

He struck without me this morning and had several more gobbling within hearing distance. He said this 2 yr old bird was gobbling his head off. I'm counting the hours until sunrise in the morning :clap

Welcome to the tenth legion. For years I scoffed at my dad and others who told me about turkey hunting but after that first gobble it was over. I would give up all other forms of hunting to chase turkeys now.

All the other years I despised (but repected) the turkey hunters in our lease because we couldn't run dogs during their season in our dog club. Now, I understand the addiction.

It is very addictive. Unfortunately, I never get to go a lot. Too many things going on this time of year. Glad I got one last weekend
