pbobably saw 30 turkeys today. all hens and jakes. saw 3 gobblers together at 2Pm walking back in for the evening. Heard a ton of birds fly up at 7pm

Me too. Didn't hear squat this morning. Decided to set out some decoys after making a few yelps and just as I turned around to go sit I spot a gobbler running off at 70 yds. That's the way it goes I guess.
Weird morning.
Heard turkeys fly up at 7pm yesterday right over the swamp. At daybreak I heard them flappin their wings in the trees. At 8AM, still heard them flappin their wings. Finally flew out at 8:30. Saw 4 hens after 9, but they were silent. Did not hear the first gobble this morning. I had my ear muffs turned way up to try and hear some long distance and nothing. My buddy sat one of my stands with a feeder to hog hunt and he heard 5 different ones firing off in the hammock . He said they hammered till 8:30 and he heard them fly out, then silent. Guess the fog kept them treed a little later
Will be a few weeks before I can get back up there now. Gonna be lots of honey do-s and a couple runs to a romp n stomp here and there
Saw a couple of birds, some sign.... No real gobbling. No birds came home. Was a great morning out there though with a fellow forum member.
