Went to this spot this morning early and there was a truck there! :taz 👿 😈
So i decided to drive down the road further, and the sun was starting to come up so i just parked and ran in about a quarter mile or so and sat down. Right at first light we had two gobblers up in the roost gobblin like crazy. I waited till it started to get a little lighter out and then started calling a little bit. Every time id hit the call, they would gobble right on command. It went on like this for about 30 mins and i decided to start headin in their direction. Id stop and call while walking and they gobble right back. I decided we were getting close enough and didnt want to spook them so we set up and just waited, calling every now and then, but they kept responding. At about 830-845 the first one leaves the roost, flies right over us and just keeps going. Every few minutes one would leave. Eventually they were all off the roost around 9 but flew way off and shut up completely. Never heard a peep outta them. Also didnt hear one shot at all. Woods were pretty open, saw maybe 5-6 other trucks.
