Well i think i got my spot picked out for opening morning.
Me and a buddy go out to Lochloosa today to do a little scouting. Driving in there were about 10 turkeys walkin across a cow pasture right when you drive in. First spot i wanted to check out was a peninsula of hardwoods surrounded by water. Walked all around the thing and didnt see any sign at all. No deer, hog, turkey tracks, :crap: NOTHING! Go to the next spot thats only about 1/2 mile further. Park and started walking. This area was just TORE UP with turkey tracks. Fresh turkey :crap: with the fly's still on it. Everywhere i walked there were turkey tracks.
Heres a pic of some of the tracks
Well how are yall doin with the scouting so far?
wish i had time to scout.. cant during the week. and the weekends i hunt when i manage to lately.
Looks like 1 gobbler in that bunch. Gobblers have a longer middle toe than their outside 2 toes.
You need to get out there and figure out where they are roosting, and where they go each morning when they fly down

every print i have ever seen had a longer middle toe than their outside 2 toes.
I need to bring a camera to work with me in Brooksville, there's a flock of over 30 that come by the job evry other day or so. One day there were over 1 dozen longbeards. Gonna have to bring my bb gun too.
