don't feel bad, I've been watching a lot of live hens calling that can't get any action. hopefully they will turn on soon, like fishing, when the bites on it's on, or should have been here yesterday.

If you can see him he can see where the hen is supposed to be. The first time you call he knows what tree you are under and he will stand there waiting for the hen to make the move so he can see her. Try to set up so he has to come into range before he should be able to see where the hen is. But to answer your question yes turkeys going the other way happens to everybody I dont care how good at calling or setting up you are.

Agreed. I've learned also if he's getting close to you (within 80yds or so) then it's best to quit calling once he's coming in and committed. He already knows where the hen should be and setup where he has to be in range when you see him. I've learned from experience they don't hand around very long without seeing a hen.
