great job, congrats to both.
When I went out my first year I didn't get anything ,but it was a blast just calling one in. I still have'nt got one but I am going again this year hopefully. I love taking my kids hunting. I took my nephew out when he was here and he loved it. We shot a rabbit.
Kudos to you for inducting a new member into the 10th legion. I took my 2nd cousin and his dad on there first turkey hunt Saturday and did not put eyes on our gobbler but he gobbled probably 50 times in about 45 minutes inside a hundred yards. The bird was begging to be killed but I had them set up in a blind because niether of them have hunted and being still is not there strong suit so I tried the waiting game and I think he gobbled up hens and they took him away. When we got up after the hunt the boys eyes were as big as baseballs and he wouldnt stop talking about how cool all that gobbling was,so I think I accomplished what the youth season is about sparking an interest in someone who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
