Yellow fat hogs are from rooting in pines,white fat ones are from acorns.

I aint sure what all they eat,I have just always noticed that. Some have a red tint also from eating a red root.Best ones are the white fat ones imo.They planted turnips in our lease this year for food plots. The deer ate the greens and the hogs rooted them up late in the season eating only the roots. Nothing ever ate the turnip bulb itself,they sure worked them over though.
