Looking to head out for the day this Saturday and be open to what I find/come across....I live in Hudson, any ideas where to go and have an opportunity--an hour or so is not that far to go? Thinking small game . . . . being very new to this, anyone interested in a "tag-along" for the morning/afternoon?

If I were you I'd head up to lower suwannee refuge probably a little over an hour north of you but there is a lot of game in there. There is a ton of trails that you can walk a long way on. Legal to shoot hogs with a 22 or 22mag but can only use shotguns with #4 or smaller bird shot.

so you cant shoot hogs? i mean i dont know who would be shooting #4 at hogs. besides .22

Yeah you can hunt hogs just not with shotgun. .22 only but you can squirrel hunt with shotgun
