cleaning the sig all stainless was a snap, could have taken the grips off, field stripped and run thru the dishwasher. but a toothbrush some q-tips, breakfree, compressed air and done. the rem mdl 7 was a bit more work and the first time I've had the stock off in over 20 yrs, found a little corrosion on the underside of the bbl that must have started yrs ago, glad I found it. I guess I'm not the first one down here to go for an un planned swim. had it happen once before fly fishing, but never hunting. gators and snakes probly thought I was a manatee.the phone keyboard lights up, talks, and screen comes on for short times but not able to dial. it's in rice now and hope it will work when dry. gotta get a waterproof plastic bag for such things.
I made an unscheduled swim in the Braden River last year with my phone in my shirt pocket. Did the rice thing like sam03 wrote, and still using that same phone today.
