22 WMR (mag). Been using that and 22LR for hogs for the past 25 years. Not saying I haven't used hi-power or a shot gun on em, but when I'm hog huntin, and I know where they're gonna be (within reason), I always tote the 22mag. Hit em right behind the ear, and it snaps their neck real quick like. I wouldn't recommend it for some of the bigger boars and sows over 200#, but I've done it. Just have to be real accurate with shot placement, and nothing on something that big over 125 yds.
I shared with M12Gunboy, since he was kind enough to hoof it back out there and help with the dirty work. Gonna look to get another one in a couple weeks to smoke for Father's day.
