I was wondering if a hallow point bullet will kill a pig just like SP.
I got SKS that has been converted to make it legal for hunting.
Would 7.62x39mm 124gr Hallow point will work for killing pig around 120-180lb pigs???
Thank you guys
just gotta put it in the right place.
you can shoot em with a .22 hollow point if you like.
thank you guys. I was searching for some 7.62X39mm SP ammos but it was quite hard... Even if some sites did have them, they were also little over priced as well or ran out of stock. So I was thinking what about a hallow point you know lol
I remember one time when I went pig hunting wiht my uncle, we were on a 4-wheeler and there were a group of pigs jumped out of palmetto bushes and we did not have time to take out our rifles.
So my uncle jumped out of his 4-wheeler and took his Sig Sauer .40 out and dropped that pig with one shot from about 25 yds.... One single shot in the spine. We checked it out where a bullet was and it penetrated her spine and ended up about few inches further from it. A pig was 146lb sow when we weighted it. I was actually real surprised for a fact that hallow point from a pistol did that much damage... Well just a memory that popped in my head so I guess a hallow point from SKS would do just fine lol
Thank you guys again for your help and suggestion.
God speed :flageagle
I have dropped quite a few with a .44 Mag carbine with 265 Grain Hollow Points at close range, ie. inside 60 yards and they don't go far if shot in the right spot....
