during general gun season im pretty sure ill blow the shoulder off one in 1 shot and he will fall and die.. But archery season its not like that.. every hog hit that i have seen in person or on tv the hog gets shot and runs. Then they have to track it and hope its dead.. Well in florida if you have a consealed weapons permit you can carry a hand gun on wma property during any season. So i will be using my right during archery season. If i shoot a hog and i think its not dead i will have my handgun .45 ready to protect my life. Otherwise it will never ever be used on wma land general gun or not. Sometimes i even pack up my rifle and when im waiting for a buddy to come out of the woods i keep my hand gun locked and loaded because you never know what can happen out there.
Most all mine have been bow shot C r0ck and many just turn and run away or torwrd me a few have just stood there til they died.But be prepared for the blood trail just be clear on your shot placement.I use white fletchings with the cock feather tip dipped red.This gave me good visable site of flight of the arrow impact and held good blood sign too if I had a pass through.
