Heh, didn't know it was a pest problem, it sounded like it was a lease or something and taking pop shots to wound one. On that note, my apologies.

On a different yet related note, i'd be more than willing to pay for a hog and help you with your problem.

No problem, No hard feelings. :toast :toast

Have you heard anything about them opening up that "new" Satsuma tract bordering ya'll to hunting? I haven't, but I wish they would.

What we were told is Wounded Warriors was going to do some hunts out there. They are supposed to be building some tower stands and blinds. BUT all that is rumors others have told us. I asked a FWC officer a while back and he had no info. I rode back there a while back to find a newborn calf that got through the fence and everything was grown up and no one had been back there in a while.I only went as far as the bridge before I found the calf, So no clue if they are doing something more towards 21 or 16..

Do you live in M-burg? or at the base?

The field right behind the church is our hay field. I have shot 3 or 4 out of it but they seem to be only in there real late (2-4 a.m.)
That is where we trapped the 4 at though. They haven't been to the trap since. We've moved it into other fields and still no luck.

The field that feeder in the pic is in has been the honey hole. They come back almost every night right around 7:30-8:00 when the feeder goes off. It normally takes them a week or so after one is shot out there to come back that early, But they always seem to come back. The two in this thread were shot one night after another at about the same time. That was a first though. Most times I have to wait alot longer after one is killed. Last night they came to the feeder at 11.30, So i'll give them a few nights to settle down then i'll go back out there. I was using a stand but they don't care the truck is sitting 40 yards from the feeder and i'm shining a bright white light right on them. I also put a white LED light under the feeder and after a day or two that doesn't bother them anymore.
