Yesterday evening around 5:00PM I went up to my ladder and around 6:00PM I shot a sow at our "finca".
It was a typical 90 lb. sow and I let it get pretty close (around 40 yards) so I shot it just below the ear with my 45-70 as she turned her head. She dropped to her side on the spot and her legs flaired for couple seconds and then stopped.
By the time I walked up to the hog my wife showed up in the truck to take the hog back to the camp. My wife wanted to take a picture of me with the hog so I got behind the hog and my wife took my rifle to lay in front of the hog. Just as she bent over to lay down the rifle the hog's rear left leg just started to move like she was running for few seconds. My wife freaked out when the leg started to move and she jumped (flew?) backward screaming for me to "kill it" and dove up to the hood of the truck and dropped the camera in some water. I fell on my back laughing at the whole event and my son wanted to run back to the camp to get his gun to kill it.
It was just too funny except the part where my wife dropped the $400 in the water.
She had previously lost a camera in the drainage ditch couple months ago too when it slopped out of her pocket.
Next camera will have to be waterproof.
