Had a blast, great bunch of guys, and the stories, well lets just say they were gripping.
haha.. it was fun!
sounds likeit for sure
looks like fun,the makings of h.b.soup on the hood haha
Yea that was something that me and johnl started.. lol..
I had an awesome time, and it was sure great getting to meet some more forum members and hopefully future forum members! M&D Outfitters treated us right, and made sure everyone had a good time. I feel like I've known trapper dan all my life, he's a real "good ol' boy" in the most positive way, who knows his business and doesn't mind sharing his knowledge. I think all of us learned a few things that'll serve us well in future hog hunting trips.
Fishindad could now change his name to "hunterdad"! He's doing a great job with his son, teaching him right and doing it by example as well as instruction. His son is a bright young man, and you can tell he's being raised in a way that will stay with him for his whole life. He'll grow up into a fine man who is able to pass down our outdoor heritage, all because his dad loved him enough to do the same. :toast
Fishindad's friend, who we hope to see on the forums someday, is a cool guy, willing to learn something new, and not afraid to ask questions or tell about some things some might consider too embarrassing to share around a campfire! :clap
Then there's Rusty, who bloodied his hands for the first time and showed off some guitar-picking chops there around the campfire! Kinda threw me off to meet a dark-haired guy named "Rusty". That'd be like somebody calling me "Slim"! But you'd never know he hadn't been out on the hunt before, and he put it on his pig like an old hand. He's another good dad, learning what he can now so that in a few years he can start passing it along to his kids. I think he's made a great start.
Rusty's friend seemed to enjoy himself, and you could tell he was familiar with hunting and being outdoors. A little quieter than some of us, but he still seemed to enjoy the stories others were telling! He was first one up and out the door Saturday morning. I'm hoping he'll also find his way onto the forum.
As for Carlos (Cr0ck1), well, y'all know about him already! He'd make a fine guide if he'd learn that when he's in the best place to make a shot from, he's gotta move his ass out of the way so the other guy can shoot! :innocent
I can't say enough about how good a time I had, and I'm pretty sure everyone else felt the same. I made some new friends, learned some new stuff, had several good laughs, did a little :bbq and got to do it all while in the great outdoors! I'm looking forward to another trip! :rockon
