First Hog!

Ok so me and martinarcher went out to chazz today. We got there at 6 am and the sun was already coming up.. I went to a nice hog spot that hogman showed me and waited there for about an hour and nothing. SO we went back to another spot we usually go to and i know theres a big hog there cause i can smell it every time i go to that spot.. Just cant see him.. So then we head back to the truck, have lunch and decide to head over to another big rooting we know of. SO on the way there we see something dart across the road pretty far up.. So we just say whatever and keep walking.. So we are talking and we hear some movement in the bushes. Martinarcher says its a hog. So I get down on my knees and look through the scope to get something in my cross hairs. So i see all this movement and see a nice size black hog climbing up a hill and then shes gone.. So i still hear movement and still have the cross hairs on the spot.. SO i see this hog come out and start to bath in the water then walk twards me. She was white with black spots. So i said what the hell and took the shot. She was only 25 lbs but it was my first hog. IM told the little hogs have better tasting meat. So we took it to the skining rack and i skinned my first hog, then gutted it and put it in the cooler and took it to hogmans house and he showed me how to quarter it. I got backstraps, hams, and one shoulder. The other shoulder got blown out by my 30.06. Oh well its my first hog and not a big one but hey its one for the belt!
