Here's a 150 pounder I spined with my bow. He was spinning in a circle so I climbed down and shot him with a 9mm at about 20 feet. No deflection here. lol

My question on the .380 was because 1st, it's a tiny round, even though i've seen a .17hmr take a hog when placed right, but I would be concerned about penetration with a .380. 2nd is the only .380 i've shot was a taurus, and it wear my friends carry piece (barrel was 2.5inches at best) and it grouped similar to 00buck. But what the heck, post up them results 😀
Well, I can tell you this. A good friend I went to HS with had a crazy ex-fiance. He dumped her when he figured out she was cookoo. She broke into his house when he was at work, stole his 380 (same one I have) and put it to herself and pulled the trigger.(Hornady critical defense ammo, same as I shoot). He is a paremedic/emt and told me in detail what the bullet did to her. Without being graphic, I feel good about carrying that gun and load for hogs and bad guys
before I knew any better, on my one and only a 93lb sow it was stone dead but still twitching like crazy ( I know now it's normal ) and didn't want to try and lift it alone into the truck with it moving around, so I popped it in the top of the head between the ears with a 180 gr fed hydrashok low recoil in 45 acp at app 10'. it penetrated the skull bone but didn't exit. it was lodged just under the skin bellow the tongue, between the lower jaw bones. still have the bullet it mushroomed nicely and stayed in 1 piece.
