Had a 350+ barr hog charge me during bow season. This was years back and I was in a lease in Jena. He ran over 200 yards straight down a road to me. I went straight up a pine tree like a monkey(back then I wsestled and played football and could do that stuff)
He ran up to the bottom of the tree, rooted my bow around on the ground, and ran off in the woods
Scared the piss out of me
Only when running dogs in my younger days. Or when injured. They want nothing to do with confrontation unless they have no choice. Oh and way to make Iluv2hunt sound like a beiotch! lmao I wanna hear his side of the story :thumbs up:
Dumass was shooting 22 shells that were as old as me and you put together. Hell my pellet gun was louder than those things. Hell yes I ran.
And I had leather slip on boots with no traction. When I turned to run I slipped on the wet grass and ate the side of his truck
I've never seen them do anything but run when I walked up on them. I had a 6 month old plott pup caught about a 150 lb'r by himself once and every time I went to grab the hog the damn dog would let it go.Then I'd jump back and say you better get that sob. He finally held it long enough for me to stick it.That was pretty funny.
BTW, I handed him a double handfull of 22 stingers after it was over and made him throw them sorry azz shells away
