how did you do it? a friend of mine puts skulls in the pond cause the fish wont eat the cartlidge like the ants

Luckily mother nature did a good job starting it for me. I took it home and put it in a bucket of water and let it sit. Adding water every few days to get the grease slick off the top. Then added peroxide and let it sit 4-5 days. Scrubbed it and placed it in the sun. thats it
