Ammo choice for hog hunting with .223?

.223 round suggestion for hogs?

I was planning on using American eagle 50gr tipped varmint for this weekend's hunting. Bad choice?

Yes very bad choice. You need a bullet that won't fragment like a varmit bullet will. Barnes are my fjrst choice. If you go with a typical cup and core bullet I recommend federal fusion

I recommend aiming at the ear with a 223.
Hog are tough and don't leave good blood trails like deer

a 150 grain bonded bullet over 2000 fps should do just fine
