Anytime Allen, sorry I couldn't help you find it.
dude i just head shot them and they drop right there every time.. i guess you learn that when you are hunting with ponds all around you and you dont want to swim for one.. lol
I do too Carlos. But a 9 year old kid, I would never instruct him to head shoot
Taking a kid hunting is the best thing we can do, everytime I read something like this it takes me back to my sons first hunt at 3 for teal with me and his first deer, hog, ram, duck, goose. Taking kids out is great and I have taken kids duck/goose, squirrel, turkey, deer, hog and bird hunting, best way to recharge my spirit of life. Kudo's to you for taking them out.
Great story and a day spent hunting with kids and friends is a good day. Okay I want to see SA dogs work.
I have one great dog that's old, half blind, half deaf, very arthritic, that I retired last season but I took her back out because she wouldn't let me leave her at home. The rest are all shiteaters. She has already found at least 7 or 8 hogs the last few weekends and is training my 3 pups. She is a wonderful thing to listen to when she works a track. I swear I've tried 50 other dogs and can't replace her. Lord I'm gonna miss her, hopefully she can make it thru this season. Once she finds them she'll either bay or they will leave her in the dust, that's where all my interceptors come into play. You want to hear a hog being bayed, you should haver heard my pack on that boar hog I got Sunday. Maybe one of my pups will stand out and take her place.
