And heres the story. Went out at sun up and walked to a spot were I've already shot a few hogs at. I sat for about 1.5 hours and listened to the palmettos rattle. Nothing decided to come out so I started walking down a fire break. I soon picked up a bunch of fresh tracks and followed them for about a half mile to a area with some very fresh rooting. Then I hear the wonderful sound of pigs rooting in the palmettos. I peak around the corner and see a good sized black hog ( about 150#) standing broad side at about 15 yards. I decided to pass on this hog wanting to see what my other choices were. Right then I see a white and black boar coming right at me so I decided to take him before he busted me. I pulled up and BOOM HEAD SHOT. Down for the count! I quickly walked towards the other hogs only to see a huge white and black pig sleeping in the middle of a grass field. He stood up and started to slowly walk towards the palmettos. I raised the shot gun and fired a slug at about 60 yards. Down the pig went! But not for long. He quickly stood up and let out a scream as he hauled azz into the brush. I heard him screaming for over 30 seconds as he got further and further away. Eventually I could no longer hear him. I started looking for blood and couldn't find a drop. As I walked around searching I saw another black pig walking threw the palmettos and decided not to shoot it. After a wile of looking for blood I gave up and headed the 2+ miles back to my truck to get the cart. Thee end.
