went back to some property I'm allowed to hunt to get it ready for the season. theres a 2 man ladder stand(not mine) not getting any younger so I added a safety line with prussic knot and a linemans type belt for the seat and rain/sun umbrella. I've got a tripod feeder on a timer and trail camera there, cleaned them up changed batteries and added corn. since I've been there someone else has come in (likely with landowner permission also) and I don't mind sharing but he/they put in 3 of those self dispense feeders and a hog trap all less than 30' from my tripod and camera. I use the timer feeder to hopefully attract the game during shooting hours. I'm thinking those self dispense feeders will only encourage the game to come there at night. I was gonna fill them for him but had 2nd thoughts. any opinions/thoughts.
I'd first check with the landowner and try to find out if this person has permission, and if so who he is. Y'all then should work things out so you aren't tripping over each other. I take it you were there first, so the spots you've been working should be yours, and the other guy needs to set up his own, not piggy-back (no pun intended) on your efforts.
the owner that put in the ladder stand was there first, I got permission to use it and put my feeder there. there are 3 ladders and 2 shooting houses on the property to choose from and this one was the easiest to get corn into, and it's alot of work for me when I need a ladder and use 200 lbs of corn. the hogs are nearby and actively tearing things up around the 2 houses and close to the road and cattle/horses (where you can't shoot them) or cooling off in the permanent water/swamp near my tripod. it's getting me pissed being outwitted by some swine.
