I once heard that palmetto berries will do that to a pig. Have killed a few like that and I can honestly say that I couldnt taste a difference. Eat up. Congrats again. Your a ganme killin machine this year. :rock_on
Yeah it has no effect on the taste at all. This year their was little to no palmetto berries in SW Fla, or at least the areas I hunted.
I always thought yellow fat hogs are from pines ,white fat from acorns,and red from red root.Some of the best hogs I ever killed and ate came from Myaka,they were all white fat hogs.They ate a lot of crops down there.The worst one was an ols sow that I think live her entire life on a feeder,she had so much fat she was unedible.
