it hasn't been the same since they moved from the house that BABE RUTH built. maybe the curse of the Babe has finaly been moved from Boston and aimed at the yanks. they should have found a way to re-store it. imo that would be like closing fenway.
It would absolutely be like closing Fenway! For ages, those who wanted a new park in Boston said rehab/remodel wouldn't work, be too expensive, etc. Yet the current owners have done it!
IMHO, baseball is an institution that is so full of 'tradition' and 'legend' that it isn't like just any business venture. You have to respect the entire package.
As for 'the Curse of the Bambino', I think it is now the 'Curse of the Giambi-no'. That jerk played the Sox in contract negotiations when he had NO intention of signing- he was just positioning to get a deal with the pintails- I mean, pinstripes.
