He was in 21st spot at the start of the first green-white-checker. He basically gained 20 spots in 4 laps

Not sure what was up with Hendricks drivers. Other than JR, they were not competitive at all. Also very uncharacteristic of Gordon to cause a wreck like he did, then he got wrecked on last lap
He usually lays low and make his move late in the big races,don't know. Wish they'd race the entire time instead of the last few laps though.

Back when Dale Sr was racing, when he spoke NASCAR listened. He did more for the sport than many folks know. If he saw a problem, he went straight to the top, and the problem got resolved
Had he been alive, the debacle with the track yesterday would never have happened. That track has not been paved since 1978. Dale said the year he died that Daytona needed to be re-paved badly, that it was over due then (9 years ago). I have personally walked on the track, and cannot see how there are not more wrecks than there are it is in such bad shape. Ill betcha it gets re-done after the July race this year
