As much as I keep up with what is going on in the world, I had absolutely no idea the Olympics are on this year till yesterday.
Sad to hear there is a death already, and the games haven't started yet

They just showed the "wreck" a few minutes ago on NBC. What's even more scary, is we were just talking at work this morning about how crazy dangerous the luge is. Then, to hear about that this evening...

Luge rider, Lodar K. from former Soviet Georgia. Flew out of the luge tunnel on the last turn and hit a steel post at 88mph.

Really surprised they showed the video w/o blurring it out. You could see the guys neck snap
