We were in the middle of turn 2 about 3/4 the way up. We got smoked when Burton spun going into turn 2. The race goes ALOT faster when you are there. You can't hear anything but the car's. ( it was great ) The bad side is the 2 mile walk to and from the speedway and the seat's are to small.
It's great I still smell burnt rubber. :toast
A NASCAR race in person is nothing like it is on TV. Not even the same sport. I used to go to Daytona every year for the 500. Was there the day Dale won it, and the day he went to be with the :angel
Standing next to the wall with them coming by @ 200 is a rush for sure.
:rockon Television is great for coverage but u have no concept of the speed unless u r there. Did the Daytona 500 couple of years ago. U can actually FEEL THE SPEED when they go by. We were stayin aboy 3 miles from the track and it took us 4 hours to get home-traffic for 100,000 people. :tank
