yes the Yankees and Sox have a rivalry going back forever and to a point thats a good thing. as for rude fans I couldn't say, there are pretty obnoxious fans found everywhere even here. obnoxious drunk idiots are a pia wherever you find them, nothing as bad here as the football (soccer) fans in Europe, Mexico and South America. salary spent is just the american way. those teams that can afford to spend more will, so would the Rays if they had it to spend. they do very well for what they have to work with. were not living in a communist/socialist state that would regulate how much money each team can spend. I think the Yanks showed a lot of class when Jeeter said we thought we had it in the bag and the Rays just wanted it more and played a great game, and the Rays in turn gave credit to the Yanks, good sportsmanship on both sides. I just hate it when a team blames the other for playing well instead of blaming themselves for playing poorly. I wouldn't want to be Bucky Dent walking around south Boston with a yankee hat on. Raider fans have been known to be a little rude also.
It's not the players Nacho,at least not most of them it the fans. Boston and New York have some of the most hateful crowds in baseball.I think the Rays total salary is like 40 million,Yankmees close to 180 million,Boston Batwangers around 150 million. I am proud of our team,they played their hearts out and came back from defeat. they showed actual salary, and you were close.....yankees 204 mill and rays 42 mill....yankees pay big money for roided up players and rays get the young guys with good talent through the minors and their just as good if not better, money isnt everything and thats why I hate :chain yankees and boston......oh yea go RAYYYSS!! :rockon
don't hate the playa. like you or I would say no to a multi million contract, I think not. when there are only maybe a handfull of people in the world that can play at that level and careers could end at any second with an injury, they'd be foolish not to take the money. believe me if the owners weren't making much more than that off the players they wouldn't be paying them it. if the Rays had 204 mil to spend on their team they would also. is it fair? NO, but who said the world was fair, thats just the way it is. if all teams had exactly the same amount to spend on players there would be no excitement,spirit or challenge imo. about the roids it's even in H.S. sports. these guys and women will do anything to stay on top of and in their game at just about all levels. it's not just the super rich stars taking them.
