Yep. Can't believe that they ain't got padding on the steel columns. It ain't like it's never happened before where somebody left the course and went vertical. I bet before they run the actual games on the course, they'll have some kind of safety mech in place.

Luge rider, Lodar K. from former Soviet Georgia. Flew out of the luge tunnel on the last turn and hit a steel post at 88mph.

seriously though, that sucks for his family. never knew how dangerous that could be.
Watched speed skating a little last nite(commercial breaks during the truck race). All I know is if I were to wear them tight stretch britches they wear, it would look like my tonsils were hanging out
