I don't have any. I'm hypodontic. Lucky me!
The Navy did 3 of mine and it was over before I even knew it began. Pros!
The 4th one was a little impacted and a civilian doc did it after I got out - worse experience I have ever experienced to this date. Local shots, a lot of cussing and straining - a nurse with a terrified look on her face - yeah, good times. And he didn't prescribe me any good stuff - just Advil.
Had always heard the horror stories about wisdom teeth and my dentist kept telling me mine needed pulling. I told him they weren't bothering me so leave 'em alone. Well finally one began to bother me and I made the appointment. He came in, shot the novacaine, came back in 15 minutes, pulled it out, no problems. The next one came 6 months later, started bothering me. So same procedure, except he was back to pull the tooth about 2 minutes after the shot. I never knew my dentist was so strong, he could lift me out of the chair with his pliers! To top it off, right in the middle of all this he said , "Oops!" He had broken the tooth and was trying to find the part that broke off. After they wiped the sweat off my brow everything returned to normal. It's kinda funny now, but at the time it was pretty tough!
